Major Depression and the Law of Attraction

The Law of Attraction states that we attract every single thing that is in our life, both the good and the bad. The ancient texts, and teachers teach that the human mind is a magnet for imprints. So when we have experiences as children, both good and bad, these experiences are literally imprinted in our minds.  Once the imprint is there, it attracts like-minded events into our lives.  And it does this without our permission or consent. It is a law, like gravity, and so it happens automatically. These ancient teachers and texts also teach that it is possible to change these negative imprints into more positive ones.

What’s more is that the physicists today, through something called Quantom Mechanics have proven that these ancient teachers and texts are right! They have discovered something called String Theory and Random Possibilities.  These theories suggest that anything is possible at any given time, and it is merely our beliefs and perceptions that create our reality.   We actually have a chance to create the realities we wish to have in our lives, and diminish those we don’t want! By creating more positive realities or imprints we then can attract more and more of what we truly wish to have in our lives.

For example, if you are “chubby” as a child, and you are teased for being chubby, and you cry because the teasing hurts your feelings, then this experience of chubbiness is imprinted in your brain. Your brain, then, automaticaly  attracts more teasing to you.  You become more and more hurt, you turn to food for comfort, and bingo you are on your way to self-loathing and overeating.  All of this eventually can lead to major depression.

Therefore, it was never your fault that your mind developed this on-going experience for you.  And the experiences you’ve accumulated since, continue to point out that there is good reason for your anger, lethargy, and self-loathing. What has happened here is that you have become completely identified with the depression. The depression has complete control over your mind, heart and body. Take a stop to consider this for a moment.  It’s interesting isn’t it?  If this idea creates more anger inside of you rather than interest or curiosity, it is because the depression has attached to you so furiously, that you can’t let go.

However, it is now possible to change this imprint and create a more positive one.

Try saying to yourself, “This depression is not all of who I am.” And for those of you are angry right now, say to yourself, “this depression attached itself to me without my permission,. I didn’t want it, it’s not my fault, but attached it is.”  See how that feels.  If you feel the slightest separation, the slightest curiosity or the slightest thread of freedom, fleeting though it can be, then you have already begun to separate your true self from the illness.

Becoming non-identified with the depression is a lot of hard personal work, however, is there any other work more worth doing?  Applying the ideas within the law of attraction will really help you. You don’t have to force the depression from you(which makes it worse) nor do you have to say, “Well, this is who I am.”  By stating to yourself over and over, “This is not really who I am, it is possible to create a new imprint for myself,” you do begin to understand not only the power this depression has over you, but also the beauty and power of possibility which lies before you. The journey is profound, different, exciting, upsetting and lively.

You will need help and guidance along the way, and I will be only too happy to help you. I teach guided meditation using the ideas of the Law of Attraction, I give Kabalistic healings, and soon I will be able to give Shamanic Healings as well.  In addition, I can lead you through Family Constellation Work.  All of these tools will help you free yourself from the depression you have become so unwillingly attached to.
